Learning about Australian culture is an important part of learning a language and we recognise that practise makes perfect!
Classes are often held in traditional Australian homes, enjoying Australian cuisine and hospitality. Having breaks from your studies is important, so what better way to do so than over an informal BBQ and swim, where you can renew your energy and motivation. Our social events are held monthly and can be taken as an individual or as a group.
Learning
about Australian culture opens the way to understanding and using
the English language. Cultural events enable you to mingle with Australians
and pick up the local “lingo” and slang - important to know in any
language! Each month we invite speciall guests who are experts and will talk to you about different jobs and how to go about finding employment in your chosen field.
Come and mingle with musicians, chefs, artists, singers, entertainers, actors and entrepreneurs and practise your English at the same time!
Excursions are also a part of exploring Sydney and the Australian countryside. Day trips to areas such as:
are arranged on a regular basis and these are lots of fun as well as informative.
Yuko - (Tokyo Japan)Jonno - (Thailand)
"When I first arrived in Sydney, people had difficulty understanding me. My pronunciation needed alot of work. After a few months attending ENGLISH
TUTORING, I have improved my English conversation and have much more confidence to speak in public."
Imelda - (Korea)Pat - (Dubai)
"Although I had sat for my IELTS test before, this time I went in with many more skills. English Tutoring made sure that I received lots of practice in all 4 segments - Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. I found that my writing skills improved to a level where I was able to communicate my ideas much more clearly. ENGLISH
TUTORING also worked with me on a one to one basis so that my listening tests became easier to do. I achieved a band 7 in my test... I would recommend ENGLISH
TUTORING to anyone needing to prepare for IELTS."
